Advancing Sorority Together
Welcome to SCCAP!
The Southern California Council of Alumnae Panhellenics is a unique organization in the Greek world. We are a regional group that supports National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) alumnae chapters from San Diego to San Fernando, and from Palos Verdes to Palm Desert.
Founded in 1956, SCCAP promotes interfraternity relations and communication among the Alumnae Panhellenic (APH) groups in Southern California so they can foster the Greek experience. We also help our delegates stay informed on current trends, both on and off campus.
An Alumnae Panhellenic is a community-based organization affiliated with NPC whose membership is composed of alumnae from NPC member organization sororities. Alumnae Panhellenics exist to inform sorority women of current trends, promote the sorority experience, improve the Panhellenic image, and stimulate a continued interest in Panhellenic involvement.
Our SoCal APHs offer alumnae of the 26 NPC member-groups leadership and social opportunities beyond their college years. SCCAP focuses on assisting these chapters enhance the sorority system through scholarship awards, charitable projects, community service and civic leadership. In addition, we encourage their efforts to educate high school students on the benefits of Greek life and their work with area College Panhellenics and universities to assist students in maintaining high social and scholastic standards.
SCCAP holds two meetings during the year as well as Sunflower Day in August to spotlight Panhellenic sisterhood. We also encourage our members to celebrate International Badge Day in March and NPC Founders Day on May 24.
Through the years, we have been honored by NPC with awards for achievement and programming that furthers the sorority experience through marketing/publicity, philanthropic involvement, scholarship and sorority education in the community.
