Get ready for August 12...Plan an outing, gather your sisters, wear sunflowers and enjoy the day together. As you do, take pictures and share them on social media so everyone can better understand the benefits of Greek Life. You can decorate cakes, meet for brunch, shop a farmer’s market, go to a concert, get pedicures, picnic in the park, or whatever strikes your fancy. Just be sure to wear your sunflowers here, there and everywhere.
This year, we hope you will incorporate charitable giving into your day…sow the (sunflower) seeds of change. You can certainly support your sorority’s philanthropy. But consider this: there’s a food pantry at most of SoCal’s universities, and donations there will help address the growing problem of food insecurity among students. These programs typically take contributions of money, non-perishable food and other items--some even have an Amazon wish list to make giving super easy. Think of the impact our combined gifts can have on just one day! See this flyer for information and College Food Pantries throughout our region. MOST IMPORTANTLY Please share your photos online, far and wide. Use the hashtags #sccapsunflowerday and #sororitysunflowerday and also email them to the SCCAP webmistress so we can feature them on this website and our Facebook page; identify the group, location, participants and affiliations when you send your email. Invite a College Panhellenic to join you and show them NPC is not just for college, we are for life.
